With the increasing popularity of our classic-looking white oak boards, we're now offering an everyday medium size, about 10 inches by 13 inches (26 cm x 33 cm). That's perfect for everything from serving cheese and charcuterie to a party or chopping vegetables or smaller cuts of meet for your family. White oak, oiled to a golden brown, has a timeless beauty, hardness approaching that of hard maple and a unique famed rot resistance, leading to its use in wine and bourbon barrels and the hulls of sailing ships. Unlike other beautiful coarse-grained woods (including red oak), the pores on white oak seal up when the wood is dried, making white oak perfect for your kitchen.
While some competitors use lumber scraps glued together, we cut our boards form solid pieces of wood right in our Maryland workshop. They're hand finished with organic raw linseed oil and our own board balm.
Your board is guaranteed against flaws in workmanship, design, etc. As always, feel free to contact us with any questions, including about different shapes or sizes. Check back often because we often have limited quantities, different sizes and new products online. But don't hesitate to pick up one of these while we have wood available.
