NEW! The perfect bowl for salt or spices in the kitchen or anything else you need elsewhere in your house. Perfect for storing or displaying anything dry, from costume jewelry to Szechuan pepper (Will's favorite spice).
Light as a feather but made from strong white oak and hard maple, these bowls show off the full grain of prime Appalachian hardwood. While many imported wooden bowls and containers are drilled into the end grain like a pencil, ours are hand-turned with chisels and gouges on Treeboard's lathe.
The finish is beeswax, applied with friction on the lathe to melt it into the wood grain.
Choose oak for dark, dramatic grain shown from all sides. Or maple for a lighter color, finer grain and subtler pattern that still shows the end grain and face grain in one dramatic miniature piece.
Care is simple--wipe clean and buff for shine. Wash lightly if needed and renew finish with your favorite oil or wax if it the wood lucks too dull or dry.
