When you work with wood long enough, you start to see each piece differently. A slab of white oak isn't just lumber, but decades of growth, seasons of rain and sun, all pressed into the grain. That's what drew us to furniture making in the first place, and it's why every piece we build at Treeboard starts with a single question: how do we let the wood speak for itself?
We're proud to introduce our growing line of artisan wood furniture, including coffee tables, garden benches, and more to come; all crafted right here in our Maryland workshop. Like our cutting boards, every furniture piece is made from solid wood furniture stock, never veneers, particle board, or laminated strips glued together.
Mass-produced furniture often hides cheap materials under a thin wood-print layer. Flip it over, and you'll find MDF or plywood held together with adhesives. Our approach is the opposite. When you examine a Treeboard coffee table or bench, you're looking at the actual tree, knots, grain patterns, and all the character that make each piece one-of-a-kind.
Our natural oak furniture showcases American white oak at its finest. We source hardwoods from North American forests, often from trees that have already fallen or need to be removed. The result is sustainable wood furniture that looks stunning while treading lightly on the environment.
Solid slab construction: Our tabletops and bench seats are shaped from solid slices of hardwood, without the use of veneers. This means uninterrupted grain flow across the surface of each piece.
Built to last generations: Solid hardwood furniture doesn't just survive daily use; it improves with age. Scratches and wear become part of the story, adding patina rather than revealing cheap filler underneath.
Sturdy cast-iron legs: Our tables and benches feature powder-coated cast-iron bases that provide rock-solid stability while complementing the organic warmth of the wood.
Every piece of handmade wood furniture that leaves our shop has been sanded, oiled, and inspected by hand. We're not churning out identical units on an assembly line. We work through each slab carefully, deciding where to place cuts, which features to highlight, and how to bring out the wood's best qualities.
This collection is just the beginning. We've started with coffee tables and garden benches, but we're already planning additional pieces, like side tables, dining surfaces, and more, all built with the same commitment to pure, solid wood furniture that has defined TreeBoard from day one.
