(The thickness of these boards is about 33 mm (1⅓ inches).\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWhile some competitors use lumber scraps glued together, we cut our boards form solid slabs of wood right in our Maryland workshops. Our hard maple comes from a sustainably certified mill that dries the lumber in western Pennsylvania, or from a similar mill in New England. The lumber is flattened and sanded before we trim and put the finishing touches on by hand--including organic raw linseed oil and our own \u003ca href=\"%%GLOBAL_ShopPathSSL%%\/board-balm\/\"\u003eboard balm\u003c\/a\u003e, an organic mixture of plant-based carnauba wax and linseed oil.
