This board comes straight from the recommendations of customers who wanted a unique, smaller board. This oak model is just 8 inches by 10 inches, or room enough for serving cheese or your favorite appetizers—ideal for anything that needs cutting up. Oak has classic beauty, hardness approaching that of hard maple and famed rot resistance, leading to its use in wine and bourbon barrels and the hulls of sailing ships.

While some competitors use lumber scraps glued together, we cut our boards form solid pieces of wood right in our Maryland workshop. We put the finishing touches on by hand--including organic raw linseed oil and our own board balm.

Your board is guaranteed against flaws in workmanship, design, etc. As always, feel free to contact us with any questions. The oak boards are thicker on average than maple (about 1 3/4"), but if you want a thinner one from our shelf that's been planed down more, please include a note in the "order comments" when checking out.
